Leicester Regional Public Health Coalition votes to approve language translation services and establish opioid subcommittee. The four voting members unanimously backed a contract with Ascentria Care Alliance for interpretation, voice translation, and document translation in over 150 languages, billed per minute with no minimum. A second unanimous vote created a regional opioid subcommittee to manage settlement funds and oversee a Human Services Director, with the first meeting set for January 20 at 6 p.m.

Regional Health Director Mishel Caisapanta presented a projected FY27 deficit of $129,000 stemming from the expiration of COVID grant funding and absorption of three positions into the Public Health Excellence grant; the coalition reviewed four budget scenarios aimed at restoring balance while preserving core services.
