Conservation Commission approves Certificates of Compliance for two projects.

Leicester Conservation Commission issues two project certificates, continues four hearings. The Commission unanimously approved Certificates of Compliance for the Cherry Valley Solar Array at 148 Henshaw Street and a bypass project at 408 Stafford Street following site visits by Conservation Administrator Lisa Westwell confirming substantial compliance and vegetative restoration. Four Notices of Intent hearings, including a proposed 1,500-square-foot garage at 38 Burncoat Lane and an after-the-fact water main repair project for Cherry Valley and Rochdale Water District, were continued to May 6 to allow applicants to respond to staff and state comments.
The Commission also unanimously authorized continued mowing of Burncoat Park's softball field path and approved straw waddles as a cost-effective alternative to hay bales for erosion control.
