LEICESTER — Conservation Commission approves retaining wall work, continues two projects. The Leicester Conservation Commission unanimously approved a negative determination with conditions for retaining wall replacement at 35 Fairview Drive, with one wall within the 100-foot buffer to Cedar Meadow Pond. Chairman James Cooper, Vice Chair Vanessa Lopez, and Member Kailey Adeyinka voted 3-0 to clear the in-kind conversion from wood to concrete block.
Two Notices of Intent were continued to July 1: an 18-by-24-foot addition at 112 Charlton Street and a 1,500-square-foot garage at 38 Burncoat Lane. The Commission approved soil borings for Cherry Valley and Rochdale Water District's water main project along King Street to Peter Salem Road to 148 Henshaw Street, granting a waiver for boring number seven within the 25-foot no-disturbance zone, with hearing continuation to August 5.
