Finance Advisory Committee approves prior minutes, reviews preliminary FY27 budget.
Advisory Committee · Meeting of February 12, 2026
LEICESTER — The Leicester Finance Advisory Committee approved prior minutes and received Town Administrator D. Genereaux's preliminary fiscal 2027 budget, which projects reductions of approximately $500,000 in schools (2.44 percent) and $1,528 in municipal operations (1.28 percent). A drop in shelter funding of over $800,000 and 14 percent health insurance increases drive the shortfall, partially offset by $820,556 in free cash.
The DPW will not fill an open equipment operator position, police will reduce civil clerk hours, and the assessor's office may close to the public one or two days weekly.
