Leicester Conservation Commission issues five compliance certificates and continues three hearings. The three-member quorum--Chair James Cooper, Vice Chair Vanessa Lopez, and Member Patricia Faron--approved no-work compliance certificates for two unbuilt projects and issued three additional certificates for completed work following site visits by Conservation Administrator Lisa Westwell. Two residential Notices of Intent for Pine Street properties were opened and continued to February 4 after public comment; an Abbreviated Notice of Resource Area Delineation for a 1,430 Main Street development was also continued pending engineer review.
The Commission required owners at 473 Whittemore Street to sign an escrow agreement with $47,560 in available funds to complete environmental restoration work if necessary. Lopez was unanimously elected Vice Chair, and the Commission approved a MassTrails grant application for erosion control and a dog waste station at Burncoat Park.
