LEICESTER — The Leicester Library Trustees adopted a hybrid holiday closure policy distinct from town standard hours. Director Suzanne Hall was given authority to keep the library open on holidays when other town offices are closed, with staff receiving compensatory time. The trustees approved ordering a 3-point anchoring system for the Bascomb portraits, which is more cost effective and less noticeable.
The mural painting project has begun. The Department of Public Works will address overhanging trees from a neighboring property. The front steps' concrete damage was caused by incorrect ice melt, and repairs to the Museum and Trustee's Room paint damage remain under development.
