Library Trustees approve $40,000 endowment transfer and mural planning study.

Library Trustees · Meeting of February 17, 2026

Leicester Library Trustees move endowment funds to shore up FY27 shortfall. The board voted unanimously to transfer $40,000 from the Bartholomew PPS Custom account into higher-yield Money Market and Certificate of Deposit accounts to offset town funding cuts. Director Suzanne Hall reported the shift is necessary to cover operating costs.

In related action, the trustees upheld a No Trespass Order against Alexander Vincent of Worcester after he appealed without addressing the library's Patron Behavior Policy. Mural artist Sarah Lavoie presented an outdoor mural proposal, with grant writer Anne Edgington tasked to identify funding sources before moving forward.
