LEICESTER — Parks and Recreation Committee approves free weekly Open Gym program for March and April. Chair Matt Fournier's committee voted unanimously to operate "Fun Fridays" at Winslow Avenue gymnasium from 6 to 8:30 p.m. beginning March 6 through April 10, serving ages 9 and up with unsupervised activity and younger children with parent supervision. The committee also advanced basketball recreation t-shirt and trophy distribution pending March invoice approval, appointed Fournier to coordinate with representatives on a KaraFun karaoke application for future events, and tasked Fournier with coordinating field scheduling between the Leicester Soccer Club and a Women's Soccer League seeking access to Leicester Middle School field.
