LEICESTER — Planning Board continued a nine-unit multifamily conversion at 981 Main Street to May 19, 2026. Applicant Cedric Richardson and owner Anil Puppala must address stormwater runoff, obtain a Zoning Board of Appeals special permit for impervious surface exceeding thresholds in the Water Resource Protection Overlay District, and resolve historical preservation concerns regarding the front porch. The board separately approved rate increases for peer-review engineer Quinn Engineering--moving to $152 per hour for Principal Engineer and $143 per hour for Senior Engineer, the first increase since 2005.

The board appointed Vaughn Hathaway and Peter Cusolito to the Zoning Bylaw Review Committee and scheduled an executive session for April 7 at 5:30 p.m. regarding Stone Ridge Drive subdivision.
